The year was 1965. Moviegoers were flocking to the theatre to watch the Sound of Music, the Beatles released 4 albums including “Help”, the miniskirt got shorter while men’s hair grew longer, and President Lyndon B Johnson signed the Medicare Bill.
If you are one of the 10,000+ people turning 65 each day, you may be starting to think about Medicare – the federal government health insurance program for people who are 65 or older. Or maybe you already are a Medicare customer, but due to life changes, your current coverage needs adjustments to cover your health care needs. Regardless of the reason, Medicare can be a wonderful birthday present, but it can also be confusing when trying to figure out how much or how little you need, especially if you are still working.
Our ABCs of Medicare workshop covers:
- Medicare Parts A, B, C, & D
- Eligibility Requirements
- Medicare Costs
- Medigap Insurance and more
Each workshop ends with a Q&A session where you can interact with and ask our Medicare Specialist all of your questions. Enrolling or switching to a new plan without the proper understanding of the costs and different options available could have consequences. Don’t delay as this one fills up quickly.
